Attio vs Salesforce
This is the modern-workspace-versus-enterprise-standard decision. Attio is a fast, flexible system of record: objects, lists, and views you shape into exactly the workspace you want, published per-seat pricing (repriced July 2026: roughly $35 Plus, $79 Pro), and a developer platform behind it. Salesforce is the definitive enterprise CRM: unmatched depth, the AppExchange ecosystem, governance at any scale - and the admin overhead and upper-edition pricing that come with it, with meaningful AI landing at $195 to $550 per user per month, the editions that include Agentforce. Salesforce relaunched its editions on September 3, 2026, and this page reflects the new list prices.
A note on where you are reading this: this page lives on ahoy.ai, and Ahoy competes with both products. We have kept the comparison factual, and where Attio or Salesforce is genuinely the better fit, the page says so. Where Ahoy fits is covered in its own section below.
Who should pick which?
Choose Attio if…
- You want a fast, configurable CRM without an implementation project - live in days, shaped by you
- Published per-seat pricing matters, and you do not have admin headcount to spend
- The data model is the appeal - objects, lists, and views, with an API, SDK, and MCP server behind them
- You are early stage through mid-market and the enterprise depth would sit unused
Choose Salesforce if…
- You are an enterprise with complex multi-team processes and compliance requirements
- You need the AppExchange ecosystem or deep platform customization - Flow, Apex, managed packages
- You have admin headcount or a systems-integrator budget to run it
- Your board or customers expect the industry standard

Where Ahoy fits
Attio and Salesforce disagree about scale, but both start from a system of record - a workspace you shape, or an org an admin runs - with AI layered on top: Attio's AI agents and Workflows, Salesforce's Agentforce. Ahoy, which we make, takes a third approach. Agents capture emails, calls, and meetings automatically, watch the pipeline for drift, and prepare the next action for your one-tap approval. What it does not do: prospect sourcing or cold outbound sequencing (follow-up sequences for deals already in your pipeline are in development for late 2026; today agents draft individual follow-ups for approval), and its 14-day free trial starts with a demo rather than self-serve signup.
What Ahoy adds to this matchup…
- Automatic capture and call intelligence included at the entry tier - not an upper edition
- Unlimited agent queries and actions - no credit math on any plan
- Live in days with no admin required - and no implementation project
- A focused CRM for selling, from founder-led teams through the mid-market

Frequently asked questions
Is Attio better than Salesforce?
For a team without an admin that wants a modern, fast CRM, Attio is easier to live with: published pricing, no implementation project, and a data model you shape yourself. For an enterprise with complex processes, compliance requirements, and the headcount to run it, Salesforce is the standard for a reason. Decide on scale and admin appetite first; the answer follows.
Is Attio cheaper than Salesforce?
For what a sales team actually uses, usually yes. Salesforce Starter at $25 undercuts Attio's ~$35 Plus on paper, but activity capture, conversation intelligence, and Agentforce live in Core, Advanced, and Max, at $195 to $550 per user per month, with Flex Credit allowances that top up by consumption. Attio's equivalent features arrive at ~$79 Pro. Compare configured quotes, not stickers.
Can Attio replace Salesforce?
For startups and mid-market sales teams, often yes. For enterprises that depend on AppExchange packages, cross-cloud processes, or heavy compliance tooling, Attio does not attempt that scope. Teams in between should list what their Salesforce org actually does before deciding.
How does Attio's API compare to Salesforce's for developer-led teams?
Attio includes API and webhook access, an App SDK, and an MCP server on every plan, including Free. Salesforce's Web Services API (REST, SOAP, and more) is not included on Free or Starter, costs an additional $25 per user per month on Pro Suite, and is included from Core ($195 per user per month). Once you are in, Salesforce's platform goes much further, with Apex, Flow, and the AppExchange. For a small developer-led team the gating matters more; for an enterprise with a platform team, the depth does. Pricing as of September 2026.
Can Attio handle complex RevOps workflows like Salesforce?
Up to a point. Attio includes Workflows on every plan and custom objects from Pro. Salesforce's Flow Builder starts on Pro Suite (limited to 5 flows per org) and is included from Core, and Apex and managed packages handle processes that span teams, clouds, and approval chains. If your roadmap includes processes like those, build one in Attio before committing.
