How Ahoy got started
Ahoy began inside the old way of doing things. Our founders, Kevin Bluett and Monique Eisenach, both spent years at HubSpot - Kevin more than a decade in CRM engineering, most recently as a Director of Engineering - watching the same pattern repeat at every scale: companies buy a system of record, and then people spend their evenings feeding it. The record decays anyway. Deals drift. The tool built to help teams sell quietly becomes the chore they avoid.
The conviction behind Ahoy is that this was never a discipline problem. It was an architecture problem. A CRM that depends on humans remembering to type things in will always be out of date, because the humans have better things to do - like selling. When language models made it possible for software to genuinely perceive what is happening across email, calendar, and calls, and to reason about what should happen next, the ceiling came off. The CRM no longer had to be a filing cabinet. It could be a crew member.
Neither of them left HubSpot planning to start a CRM company. They left separately, crossed paths soon afterward, and found the skills fit: a decade of CRM engineering on one side, a world-class design eye on the other, pointed at the same conviction. So we started Ahoy to build the CRM we always wished existed: one where the data enters itself, the pipeline watches itself, and the next action arrives prepared - waiting on exactly one thing, your judgment. Most CRMs were built to remember. Ahoy was built to act.

Over ten years in CRM - including as Director of Engineering at HubSpot - taught him exactly where the system-of-record model tops out, and what it costs the teams living inside it. The vision
We think every CRM will eventually be AI-native, the same way every CRM eventually moved to the cloud. The category question is not whether the AI does the work - it is who holds the judgment while it does. Some of our peers are racing to remove every click. We think one click is the right number: the system perceives, reasons, and prepares, and a person approves what goes out the door. That principle - AI prepares the work, you bring the judgment - is not a transition strategy. It is the product.
The destination is a CRM that works like a great chief of staff for every revenue team from a two-person founder-led motion to a mid-market sales org: always current, always watching for drift, always arriving with the next best action already drafted. How we work
Judgment stays human. Guardrails and one-tap approval are the default in the product, not a configuration. We build agents we would trust with our own pipeline - because we do.
Honest to a fault. Our comparison pages name the cases where a competitor is the better choice. We would rather lose a deal we should lose than win one on fog.
Ship weekly. The product moves every week, and the receipts are public in What's New.
Craft, with a little whimsy. We sweat the details, and we occasionally fly a pirate flag over a San Francisco landmark. Clarity over chaos does not have to mean boring.
Where to find us
Dublin. Where the product gets built. Our engineering team ships from Dublin, and we are hiring senior and staff engineers to build alongside them.
San Francisco. Home to our go-to-market and community work - and the occasional takeover of a Painted Lady.
Boston. Our US East Coast base, keeping us close to customers in the same working day as both Dublin and San Francisco.
