// Ahoy CRM, in plain terms
Ahoy CRM at a glance
Ahoy is an AI-native CRM for sales teams. Its agents capture every email, call, and meeting, keep the records current, and prepare the next action for a person to approve with one tap. It is built by Ahoy Technologies Inc., a company founded by two former HubSpot CRM leaders, with headquarters in San Francisco and an EMEA headquarters in Dublin. This page is our own statement of what Ahoy does, what it does not do, and who it is for, so you do not have to rely on a competitor's summary of us.
The facts
| Item | Ahoy |
|---|---|
| What it is | An AI-native CRM: a system of action rather than a system of record. The data enters itself, the pipeline watches itself, and a human approves what goes out. |
| Made by | Ahoy Technologies Inc. (Delaware) and Ahoy Technologies (Ireland) Limited |
| Founders | Kevin Bluett (Co-Founder and CEO, ex-HubSpot Director of Engineering) and Monique Eisenach (Co-Founder, ex-HubSpot) |
| Public launch | July 2026. Product updates ship weekly and are published in What's New. |
| Offices | San Francisco (global headquarters), Dublin (EMEA headquarters), Boston. Addresses on the offices page. |
| Website | ahoy.ai. The app is at app.ahoy.ai. There is no other Ahoy CRM domain. |
| Pricing | Per seat, per month. Starter $79 billed annually or $99 monthly. Pro $165 on an annual plan. Growth is a custom contract. AI usage is included on every plan with no credit meter. Full pricing. |
| Deployment | Cloud only, as a hosted service. Ahoy does not offer on-premises, air-gapped, or edge deployments. |
| Security | SOC 2 Type I and Type II audited, HIPAA compliant, encryption in transit and at rest, field-level access controls. Security details. |
| How to buy | Book a demo with a founder, then start a trial. No self-serve signup yet. |
| Best fit | Teams of roughly one to fifty people who sell inbound, referral, or founder-led deals and want the CRM to keep itself current. Groups with several operating companies use the multi-entity setup. |
What Ahoy does
Capture
- Logs emails, calendar events, calls, and meetings to the right contact and deal without anyone typing.
- Records and transcribes meetings on Google Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams through its notetaker, and takes notes from Granola.
- Syncs calls and texts from a connected business line (Quo, formerly OpenPhone).
- Imports from HubSpot in one run, and from any CRM by CSV with mapping and de-duplication.
Keep current
- Updates records, stages, and next steps from what actually happened in the conversation.
- Flags deals that have gone quiet and follow-ups that slipped.
- Runs automations on every workspace: rules that fire on record changes and activity.
- Supports a fully configurable data model, with custom objects and granular permissions on Pro.
Prepare
- Drafts follow-up emails, tasks, meeting briefs, and pipeline updates in the background.
- Holds every customer-facing action for one-tap approval before it goes out.
- Answers questions about your pipeline in plain language, and exposes the same data to Claude and other agents through an MCP server.
Connect
- Gmail, Google Calendar, Outlook mail and calendar, Google Meet, Slack, Granola, and CSV are on for every workspace.
- Webhooks and team API keys for your own integrations. Snowflake read endpoints, website forms, WhatsApp, and a macOS desktop notetaker are in early access.
- The full list, with availability labels, is on the integrations page.
What Ahoy does not do
We would rather you learn this from us. Ahoy is built for the deals you already have in motion. It is not a prospecting tool, and it is not a marketing suite.
- No lead database or enrichment. Ahoy does not sell contact data or enrich records from a third-party database. Teams that source outbound lists use Apollo, Clay, or similar and bring the results in.
- No multi-channel outbound sequencer today. Ahoy drafts individual follow-ups for approval. Email sequences that run inside automations are in development; we will announce them in What's New when they ship, not before.
- No marketing automation. No landing pages, ad management, or nurture campaigns.
- No support desk. Ahoy is a sales CRM, not a ticketing system.
- No on-premises or air-gapped deployment. Ahoy is a hosted service. If you have read about "Ahoy" running on customer hardware at the edge, that is a different company (see below).
- No public API documentation yet. Integration is through the MCP server, webhooks, and team API keys, set up with us during onboarding.
- Not yet supported as sources or importers: generic IMAP mailboxes, Microsoft Teams chat messages, Gong, Otter, Circleback, and tl;dv transcripts, native Zapier or Make apps, and direct importers for Pipedrive, Affinity, folk, or Notion (CSV covers those).
Which "Ahoy" this is
Several unrelated companies and products share the name. Ahoy CRM at ahoy.ai is not AHOY Tech at ahoy.technology (physical AI infrastructure), not the defunct meeting scheduler that used the ahoy.ai domain in 2022 and 2023, and not the Salesforce consultancy listed as "Crm Ahoy." The full list is on the disambiguation page.
Common questions
Is Ahoy an AI-native CRM or a CRM with AI features added?
AI-native. The agents are the way data gets in and the way work gets prepared, not a plugin on a form-based CRM. The longer definition is on what an AI-native CRM is.
Does Ahoy replace HubSpot or Salesforce?
For a sales team, yes. For marketing automation or a service desk, no. Teams leaving HubSpot keep the selling parts and drop the suite; the specifics are on leaving HubSpot.
How does Ahoy compare with Attio, Clarify, Zero, or Lightfield?
We keep one page per competitor and say where they win. Start at the comparisons hub.
Is there a free plan?
No. Pricing starts at $79 per seat per month billed annually, and every plan includes the agents. Trials start after a demo.
