In plain view: live chat, deal drop-off, and auto-approval

Chat answers appear as they're written, and you can stop one partway through. A new set of reports shows where your deals drop off and which ones are stuck. And Agent Autonomy is now one card that shows what Ahoy handles on its own and what waits for you.

Watch the answer as it's written

Chat answers now appear word by word as Ahoy writes them, rather than all at once at the end. They start sooner, too.

You can also stop an answer partway through. While Ahoy is working, the send button turns into a stop button. Click it and the answer ends where it is. Anything it had already found stays in the conversation, so your next message picks up from there. Send a new message while it's still working, and it stops the old answer and starts on the new one.

See where your deals drop off

Reports has a new set of pipeline templates, each named for the question it answers. Where do deals drop off? Which deals are stuck? How long does each stage take? Which sources bring deals that move? Each report opens on a one-sentence answer, and you can click any number to see the deals behind it.

Four of them, including where deals drop off and which ones are stuck, join your reports dashboard once there's enough deal history to fill them.

Choose what the agent handles on its own

Agent Autonomy is now a single auto-approval card. Turn it on and the card lists what Ahoy handles automatically and what you approve. Both lists update as you change a rule. Click Edit next to Applies to and pick the record types it covers, from contacts and companies to any of your pipelines.

Open Customize to set a rule for each kind of update, from marking records won or lost to merging duplicates. Each one can be Ask first, Auto-approve, or Some record types. Reset action rules takes you back to the recommended set. Sending emails and deleting records always need your approval.

Turn the card off and every action waits for you, with your rules kept for when you turn it back on. You'll find it in Settings, under AI Actions.

Settings, in eight groups

Settings is now organized into eight groups, from Account and AI through to Developers and Workspace. Related pages are folded together, so there are fewer to look through. Your email signature now sits under Email & Calendar, and WhatsApp and Slack chat share a new Chat with Ahoy page. Links and bookmarks to the old pages still take you to the right place.

Also this week

  • Pipeline boards and report filters take relative dates too, like more than 30 days ago or this quarter
  • After a meeting that shows a deal has moved on, the agent suggests moving it to the matching stage, though never into a final stage
  • Calls captured from Google Meet's own transcripts get a summary, key topics, and action items
  • Click Copy next to a meeting transcript's search box to copy the whole transcript
  • In chat, the agent can search your meeting notes by topic or action item and read a meeting's full transcript
  • When a customer cc's a colleague, the agent's draft reply keeps that colleague on cc
  • Edit a task's status, due date, or owner right from the Tasks list
  • Tables show a single stage column, with the pipeline's name beside the stage when you have more than one pipeline
  • Account admins can select several custom fields and delete them together, or click Delete field from a field's panel
  • The import mapping step lists columns in your file's order and shows how many are still unmapped
  • Currency fields show your default currency's symbol, like € or £

Fixes

The polishes across Ahoy this week.

  • Cancelled meetings stay off a record's Meetings tab, its Last met and Next meeting tiles, and its touchpoint count
  • A reminder set from a deal's close date clears when the deal reaches a final stage, and comes back if it reopens
  • You can translate Ahoy into your language with Chrome's built-in translation
  • Markdown you paste into a note or task description, like a bulleted list or bold text, keeps its formatting
  • With several emails in one AI Action, the send confirmation shows each email's own recipients
  • You can change the stage of a record an AI Action creates before you approve it
  • Creating your first deal pipeline takes you straight to the board
  • Mention emails name the record in the subject line
  • A table cell with several emails or phone numbers shows the first one and how many more there are
  • The date picker stays the same size as you page through months
