No surprises: imports, date filters, and merges
Imports now read multi-sheet workbooks and messy exports, and flag a column that won't fit before you run them. List filters take relative dates, so a view saved as the last 30 days stays current. And when the agent suggests a merge, you see the merged record before you approve.
It's a no-surprises week. An import tells you what won't fit while there's still time to fix it. A view you saved as the last 30 days still means the last 30 days next month. And before you approve a merge, you see the record you'll end up with.
Import the file you have
A workbook with several sheets now imports every sheet, not just the first. Each sheet becomes its own file with its own record type. You can also set how each column writes its dates and numbers, like day first or month first, or a comma instead of a point before the decimals. Ahoy suggests the format from what's in the column.
The files people actually export come through too. A title row above the headers, like the one on a Salesforce formatted report, is recognized and skipped. Two columns with the same header stay separate. UTF-16, pipe-delimited, and older Mac Excel files all read correctly.
Values line up with what you already have. A dropdown value exported as 7.0 matches your option 7. An email or website pasted with a stray quote, bracket, or invisible character is stored clean, so it matches the record that's already in Ahoy.
See what won't fit before you import
Map a column to a dropdown property, and the mapping step shows how many rows match its options before the import is analyzed. It lists the values that don't match, so you can fix the file or pick another property right there. Account admins can click Create all as new properties to turn every unassigned column into a new property in one step. You review each one first, and can change its label and type.
On the review screen, each file shows which identifier its duplicates were merged on. Click Change to go back to the mapping and pick another. When a column links to records already in Ahoy, Match by now takes any unique property on a contact, company, or deal. That includes your own properties, like a SIREN number or an ID from your old system.
Date filters that keep rolling
List view filters now understand relative dates. Filter for records created less than 30 days ago, closing more than two weeks from now, or with a close date this quarter. Save the view and the dates recalculate every time you open it, on your org's calendar day. Presets cover today, yesterday, and tomorrow, plus this, last, and next week, month, quarter, and year. For a fixed range, Is between takes a start and an end date.
The filter menu is clearer about blank fields too. Conditions like Is not and Does not contain now say that they also match records with no value.
Bulk delete and export on every list
You can now bulk delete and export notes, tasks, meetings, and your custom objects, the same as contacts, companies, and deals. The toolbar on each list shows the actions that list supports.
Exports include the record name and people columns like Owner, just as the table shows them. And the records behind a report chart can be exported, whatever their type.
See a merge before you approve it
When the agent suggests merging two duplicates, the action card now shows what the merged record will hold, field by field. Where the two records disagree, you choose which value to keep before you approve. The duplicate's details move onto the record you keep. And at any Agent Autonomy level, the agent waits for you on a merge where the records disagree.
Also this week
- In chat, an AI Action opens in a panel beside the conversation when the window has room, and the newest one opens on its own
- A completed AI Action shows who approved it, whether that was you, a teammate, or an automatic approval, along with the changes it made
- Long values on an AI Action, like a multi-paragraph description on a custom record, show at full width with their bold and lists formatted, and expand with Show more
- Property changes on an AI Action wrap to the full width of the panel, so a long before and after value reads in full
- Report charts grouped by pipeline and stage list the stages in pipeline order
- The imports list shows when each file was uploaded, and you can delete an import that hasn't run
- The import sidebar lists files in the order you added them
- Numbers in an import with more than six decimal places are flagged at review
- Disconnecting the Google or Microsoft account you sign in with explains that you need to set a password first
Fixes
The polishes across Ahoy this week.
- A deal created from a company fills in that company's contacts every time
- The agent tells a Gmail draft you haven't sent apart from an email that went out
- The agent can put a meeting on your calendar at a time it found for you
- The agent reads numbers at full precision, so a coordinate or rate it copies into another record keeps every decimal
- A long chat keeps answering your latest message, even after it's pulled in a lot of data
- Notetaker transcripts show when each line was said
- Bold and code formatting in a note or task stays as you wrote it through every edit
- Reviewing a change to a task or email thread shows a single save bar
- A list's record count updates as soon as a bulk delete finishes
