Founding GTM.
San Francisco · Full-time · Founding hire
First go-to-market hire at Ahoy. You own the motion end-to-end — outbound, discovery, demos, closes — and work shoulder-to-shoulder with founders on positioning, pricing, and the design-partner book. This is a build-the-machine role, not run-the-machine.
What you'll do
- Source, qualify, and close the first wave of design partners and paying customers.
- Run discovery and product demos yourself — every call is a research call.
- Translate what you hear back into the product. Sit in the same rooms as engineering.
- Build the early sales motion: ICP, messaging, outbound sequences, the first version of a pipeline.
- Stand up the GTM stack — CRM (it's Ahoy), enrichment, sequencing — from zero.
What you bring
- 5+ years selling B2B SaaS at early-stage companies (Seed through Series B).
- Track record of being the first-or-second seller at a startup — you've done this without a playbook.
- Comfortable carrying a quota AND building the process that hits it.
- Strong product instincts. You can demo software you didn't build and read what's working in real-time.
- Based in or moving to San Francisco. This is a hybrid role with a strong in-person bias.
Bonus
- Sold to RevOps, sales leaders, or founders before.
- Hands-on with the current CRM stack (Salesforce / HubSpot / Attio) and opinionated about its limits.
- AI-native — you already use LLMs for outbound research, prep, and follow-up.
